Why buyers look past SentinelOne
SentinelOne Singularity rates 4.4 out of 5 from 288 reviews on PeerSpot, and its support is usually praised. The complaints in the 34 most recent reviews cluster elsewhere: dashboards that can't be customized (12), false positives and the exclusions they need (10), CPU or disk use (8), and cost for smaller companies (4). Three say rollback works only on Windows.
“I have to go in and build new exclusions daily, so it can be a headache for certain users and programs.”Karrie Westmoreland, PeerSpot, June 2026
“Dislikes include high false-positive alerts and resource consumption issues with CPU and disk usage.”Raj Borge, PeerSpot, April 2026
“For small and medium enterprises, it is very costly.”Vaibhav Mahendra Kolhe, PeerSpot, March 2026
There is also less outside evidence than for its peers. SentinelOne isn't in AV-Comparatives' business or EPR tests and declined MITRE's 2025 Enterprise evaluation, so its false-positive rate can't be compared in a lab.

The 5 best SentinelOne alternatives
Bitdefender GravityZone
Fewer false alarms, lab-testedThe main reasons people leave SentinelOne are false positives and the exclusion work they cause. GravityZone raised 11 false alarms in 2,901 cases across AV-Comparatives' 2023 to 2025 business tests, which SentinelOne doesn't enter. It costs $384.99 a year for 10 devices on Business Security, sold online with a no-card trial, and its ransomware rollback restores from its own backups rather than Windows shadow copies. Caveats: its reviewers rate support lower than SentinelOne's, and its EDR tier is quote-only.
Full Bitdefender GravityZone vs SentinelOne comparison →CrowdStrike Falcon
Threat hunting bundled, self-serve buyingFalcon Enterprise ($184.99 per device a year) includes 24/7 OverWatch threat hunting, and you can buy online or monthly instead of through a partner. Strong 2025 MITRE result. Caveats: no listed rollback feature, above-average false alarms in AV-Comparatives' late-2025 test, and price is its reviewers' top complaint.
CrowdStrike vs SentinelOne →Microsoft Defender for Business
Lightest on PCsIf CPU and disk use is the problem, Defender was the lightest of these products in AV-Comparatives' 2025 performance tests. It costs $3 per user per month with EDR and is included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium. Caveats: servers need a separate add-on, and its reviewers complain about support and the portals.
Microsoft Defender compared →Huntress Managed EDR
If you want someone else to handle alertsA 24/7 SOC triages alerts for you, at $7.99 per endpoint per month at 100 endpoints, so exclusion tuning becomes their job. Rated 4.6 out of 5 on PeerSpot. Caveats: no lab results, prevention comes from Microsoft Defender, and a 50-seat minimum outside the MSP channel.
Huntress compared →Sophos Endpoint
If you run Sophos firewallsIntegrates with Sophos firewalls and has a large MDR service. Certified in every AV-TEST business round since 2022. Caveats: no published price, and it had the heaviest footprint in AV-Comparatives' 2025 performance tests, so it won't fix a resource problem.

When to stay with SentinelOne
Stay if your analysts rely on its storyline view, remote shell, or Purple AI assistant, if one-click rollback on Windows is central to your ransomware plan, or if its support team is what keeps you there. One reviewer says their company moved from CrowdStrike to SentinelOne because of its support team.
“the rollback feature is only available for Windows systems, not for Linux and Mac OS.”Sandesh Khatal, PeerSpot, May 2026
If false alarms or price are why you are looking, Bitdefender GravityZone has the evidence SentinelOne doesn't publish: years of AV-Comparatives results with few false positives, at a lower list price. Read its full review record, critical reviews included.
