CrowdStrike vs SentinelOne: Falcon and Singularity compared

Disclosure: this site reviews Bitdefender GravityZone and earns a commission if you sign up for it through our links. It is neither of the products compared here; we cover it in its own section at the end.
Both are enterprise-grade EDR platforms with the same PeerSpot rating, and the choice between them is closer than either vendor admits. CrowdStrike is easier to buy (online, monthly or annual), bundles 24/7 threat hunting into its EDR tier, and has the larger analyst and partner ecosystem. SentinelOne includes rollback in every tier, gets strong marks for its investigation tools, and reviewers often call it the cheaper of the two at EDR level.
Pick CrowdStrike if you want managed threat hunting and self-serve buying. Pick SentinelOne if ransomware rollback and hands-on investigation matter more, and you are happy to buy through a partner. If neither fits, see our CrowdStrike alternatives.

Price and buying
CrowdStrike sells online, with published prices and a monthly option. Its order terms say monthly plans get no refund and renewals are charged at the then-standard price. SentinelOne publishes prices for 5 to 100 workstations but sells only through partners, and the partner's price controls.
At list price the two are close at EDR level, but what you get differs: Falcon Enterprise includes OverWatch threat hunting, while SentinelOne charges for hunting on Complete and includes it from Commercial ($229.99). In reviews, price is the top complaint about CrowdStrike, and SentinelOne users often say they chose it partly on cost:
“we evaluated other options such as Sophos and CrowdStrike, finding CrowdStrike to be very expensive and Sophos not meeting our requirements.”Marcelo Simoes, PeerSpot, April 2026
Testing
Neither vendor makes this easy. CrowdStrike is in AV-Comparatives' Business Security Test, where Falcon Pro had above-average false alarms in 2025; SentinelOne isn't in it at all. In MITRE's Enterprise evaluations they alternate: SentinelOne took part in 2024 and declined 2025, CrowdStrike the reverse. CrowdStrike's 2025 result was strong (all 90 scored steps detected at technique level, none of the 17 benign steps flagged).
The one round both entered is MITRE's 2024 managed services evaluation, testing Falcon Complete and SentinelOne's MDR. CrowdStrike reported slightly more attack steps (42 to 38) but sent about three times as many alerts (579 to 189).
Rollback, investigation, and support
SentinelOne's one-click rollback is the feature its reviewers mention most, and CrowdStrike reviewers who have used both name it as a gap in Falcon. Reviewers of each say the other wins somewhere:
“Workflow implementation is far easier in CrowdStrike compared to SentinelOne.”Shubham Sinha, PeerSpot, February 2025
“Regarding technical support from the vendor, CrowdStrike is number one.”Krishnakumar Mahadevan, PeerSpot (SentinelOne review), May 2026
Both draw complaints about consoles and dashboards. SentinelOne reviewers also cite false positives that need daily exclusions; CrowdStrike reviewers cite modules sold separately and thin documentation.
Outages
CrowdStrike's July 2024 content update crashed about 8.5 million Windows devices, by Microsoft's estimate, and Delta's lawsuit is still in discovery. CrowdStrike now stages updates and lets customers control timing. SentinelOne's May 2025 outage took down its console and APIs, not endpoints, and full service took until the next morning. Several SentinelOne reviewers bring up CrowdStrike's outage unprompted.
When neither fits: Bitdefender GravityZone
Both are priced and built for teams with security staff. For a small or mid-size business without a SOC, Bitdefender GravityZone is worth a look. It costs $384.99 a year for 10 devices on Business Security, is sold online with a free trial, and has a much stronger record than Falcon in AV-Comparatives' business tests, where SentinelOne isn't tested: 3 compromises and 11 false alarms in 2,901 cases from 2023 to 2025, against Falcon Pro's 28 and 144. Its console can also run on-premises. Its weak spots are a console with a learning curve and slower support.

Is CrowdStrike or SentinelOne cheaper?+
It depends on the tier. CrowdStrike's entry tier (Falcon Go, $59.99 per device a year) is cheaper than SentinelOne Core ($69.99), but SentinelOne's EDR tier (Complete, $179.99) is a little cheaper than Falcon Enterprise ($184.99), which adds 24/7 threat hunting. SentinelOne sells only through partners, whose prices control.
Which did better in MITRE ATT&CK evaluations?+
They took part in different years. SentinelOne joined the 2024 Enterprise evaluation and declined 2025; CrowdStrike skipped 2024 and joined 2025, detecting all 90 scored attack steps with no false positives. In MITRE's 2024 managed services round, CrowdStrike reported 42 steps with 579 alerts and SentinelOne 38 with 189.
Does CrowdStrike have ransomware rollback like SentinelOne?+
Not as a listed feature. SentinelOne includes one-click rollback in every package, which reviewers say uses Windows Volume Shadow Copies. Reviewers comparing the two name rollback as something SentinelOne has and Falcon lacks.
Which has the better reviews?+
They are level on PeerSpot: CrowdStrike Falcon 4.4 out of 5 from 173 reviews, SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint 4.4 from 288, both averaging 8.8 out of 10. Most recent reviews of both were paid interviews.
