GravityZone free trial vs paid: what you get before you pay
By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · Bitdefender Reviews · Updated October 12, 2026
Bitdefender GravityZone has no free plan. Every package has a free trial, about 30 days, with no payment details asked. When it ends you buy a subscription or the protection stops; it does not roll into a charge.
Reviewers and test labs mostly agree on GravityZone's protection. Where reviewers split is the console, and the trial is the cheapest way to find out whether your team can live with it.

What the GravityZone trial asks for
The form on Bitdefender's trial page wants a business email, company name, employee count, country, state, and phone number. There is no payment step. Bitdefender notes the form can sit on “Submitting” for up to 40 seconds while it creates the account.
Pick the package you are likely to buy. The Small Business Security form only offers the 1-24 and 25-99 employee bands; larger companies should trial Business Security or Premium.
How to use 30 days well
The complaints in our review set are about setup and day-to-day management, so test those first:
- Deploy the agent to a handful of machines, including your oldest PC and any Macs.
- Install the line-of-business software your team uses and see whether anything gets blocked.
- Build one policy for staff and one for servers, then change a setting and time how long it takes to reach the endpoints.
- Open a support ticket with a real question and note the response time.
- Run a report you would actually send to a manager or client.
These reviewers found the rough edges after buying. A trial is the time to find them:
“Network Printers by default are blocked - we found this out on home systems and it caused a real headache at first.”Al Schleicher, TrustRadius, November 2021
“Can be a resource hog on Macs”Isidoro Jovero, TrustRadius, February 2020

When the trial ends
The trial doesn't convert on its own. Bitdefender's wording: “To continue using the services, you must purchase a paid subscription plan before the trial period ends.” Buy before the last day if you want no gap in protection.
A paid online subscription renews automatically each term. You can turn renewal off in your billing profile at any time, and first-time online orders carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. The refund and cancellation guide has the details.
GravityZone free trial FAQ
Is there a free version of Bitdefender GravityZone?+
No. GravityZone has no free plan. Bitdefender's free antivirus is a consumer product with no central console, so it isn't a substitute for a business fleet. Every GravityZone package has a free trial instead.
How long is the GravityZone free trial?+
Bitdefender's pages describe it as 30 days, or one month for Business Security Premium and Business Security Enterprise. The Small Business Security and Business Security trial forms don't state a length.
Is there a free trial for GravityZone Elite, Ultra, or XDR?+
Yes, under their current names. Bitdefender renamed GravityZone Elite to Business Security Premium and GravityZone Ultra to Business Security Enterprise, and both have a free trial that Bitdefender describes as one month. XDR has its own option on the same trial form, which doesn't state a length for it.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?+
No. The trial form asks for your name, business email, company name, employee count, country, state, and phone number. It has no payment fields.
What happens when the trial ends?+
It doesn't convert into a paid plan on its own. Bitdefender's wording is that you must purchase a paid subscription before the trial period ends to keep using the service.
Can I get a refund if I buy and change my mind?+
Yes, for a first-time online purchase. Bitdefender's refund policy offers a full refund within 30 days of the order date. Purchases through a partner follow that partner's terms.
