Bitdefender vs SentinelOne: GravityZone and Singularity compared
By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · Bitdefender Reviews · Updated October 1, 2026
Disclosure: this site reviews Bitdefender GravityZone and earns a commission if you sign up for it through our links. We earn nothing from SentinelOne Singularity. The figures below come from each company's own pages and the test labs, with the dates checked.
For a small or mid-size business, GravityZone is the safer buy: it costs less per device, you can try it free without talking to sales, and its protection is checked by independent labs every year. SentinelOne no longer submits to the main business tests, so you are taking its results on trust.
SentinelOne is the better pick for a security team that will live in the console: its attack “storyline” view and Purple AI hunting assistant get strong reviews, rollback is in every tier, and analysts rank it a leader. Expect to tune exclusions.

Price and how you buy
SentinelOne publishes per-endpoint prices on its packages page: Core $69.99, Control $79.99, Complete $179.99, and Commercial $229.99 a year, for 5 to 100 workstations. The fine print says all purchases go through an authorized partner and that the partner's price controls. Enterprise and the Wayfinder MDR service are quote-only.
Bitdefender sells GravityZone online for up to 100 devices: $324.99 a year for 10 devices on Small Business Security, $384.99 on Business Security (see pricing). That makes GravityZone's entry tiers roughly half the price of SentinelOne's. SentinelOne's published EDR price ($179.99) has no published Bitdefender counterpart; GravityZone Business Security Enterprise is sold by quote.
Independent testing
This is the clearest difference. GravityZone is in AV-Comparatives' Business Security Test twice a year; in the two 2025 rounds it was compromised twice in 899 real-world cases, with 3 false alarms. It was the only product of 12 to block every scenario at the first stage in AV-Comparatives' 2025 Endpoint Prevention and Response test.
SentinelOne is in neither test, and it isn't on AV-TEST's current business results. In September 2025 it announced it would skip MITRE's 2025 Enterprise evaluation to focus engineering on its roadmap. Bitdefender also skipped 2025. Both took part in MITRE's 2024 Enterprise round, and in the 2024 managed services round Bitdefender sent 82 alerts to SentinelOne's 189.
SentinelOne's customers rate its protection highly. Without lab results, though, a buyer can't check its false-positive rate or performance impact against other products the way they can for GravityZone.
Rollback, hunting, and day-to-day use
SentinelOne's strengths are in investigation. Reviewers praise its storyline view of an attack, its remote shell, and the Purple AI assistant (Complete and above). One-click rollback is in every tier, though reviewers say it relies on Windows shadow copies:
“the rollback feature is only available for Windows systems, not for Linux and Mac OS.”Sandesh Khatal, PeerSpot, May 2026
The complaints we saw most in recent SentinelOne reviews were dashboards that can't be customized (12 of 34), false positives and exclusion work (10), and CPU or disk use (8):
“I have to go in and build new exclusions daily, so it can be a headache for certain users and programs.”Karrie Westmoreland, PeerSpot, June 2026
GravityZone's reviewers complain about the console too, and about slow support, which SentinelOne reviewers mostly rate well. GravityZone's reviewers rarely mention false positives, which matches its lab record.
Outages and company news
On May 29, 2025, SentinelOne's management console and APIs went down; its root cause report says endpoints stayed protected and blames a flaw that removed network routes. Full service took until the next morning. In May 2026 it cut about 8% of staff, per an SEC filing.
Bitdefender's record has its own entries: a faulty update in 2010 and console vulnerabilities patched in April 2025 (details on is Bitdefender legit).
What reviewers say about each
We compare reviews on PeerSpot, where we could read both like for like. SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint rates 4.4 out of 5 from 288 reviews (98% would recommend); GravityZone EDR 4.2 from 62 (96%). Neither pool is neutral. Of the 34 recent SentinelOne reviews we read, 26 were paid interviews, 19 came from partners or resellers, and 12 from one SentinelOne partner; 34 of 77 GravityZone reviews come from Bitdefender partners or resellers.
Where SentinelOne wins
- Investigation tools: the attack storyline, remote shell, and Purple AI assistant get consistent praise from analysts.
- One-click rollback in every tier, including the entry package.
- Support: most reviewers we read rate SentinelOne support 8 to 10, a weak spot for Bitdefender.
- Breadth on one agent, including cloud workload protection from Control up and identity protection in Commercial.
- A Leader in Gartner's 2026 Magic Quadrant for endpoint protection, per SentinelOne; Bitdefender is a Visionary.
- Wayfinder MDR's breach warranty goes up to $1M, against $100,000 for Bitdefender MDR.
Who should pick Bitdefender GravityZone
Businesses that want lab-verified protection with few false alarms, a lower per-device price, and the option to buy online and trial without a sales call. Budget time for the console and plan around slower support.

Is Bitdefender or SentinelOne cheaper?+
Bitdefender, at list price. GravityZone Business Security costs $384.99 a year for 10 devices. SentinelOne's entry tier, Singularity Core, lists at $69.99 per endpoint a year ($699.90 for 10), and its EDR tier, Singularity Complete, at $179.99. SentinelOne sells only through partners, and its page says the partner's price controls.
Which has better independent test results?+
Only Bitdefender has recent lab results to compare. SentinelOne is not in AV-Comparatives' 2025 Business Security or Endpoint Prevention and Response tests, and it chose not to take part in MITRE's 2025 Enterprise evaluation. Both took part in MITRE's 2024 Enterprise evaluation.
Does SentinelOne have a free trial?+
Not a self-serve one. SentinelOne's FAQ points to a demo request form, and it publishes no trial length. Bitdefender offers a free GravityZone trial of about 30 days with no card required.
Is SentinelOne rollback better than Bitdefender's?+
SentinelOne includes one-click rollback in every tier, and reviewers praise it, but several note it works only on Windows and relies on Volume Shadow Copies. GravityZone's Ransomware Mitigation keeps its own backup copies of files and restores them after an attack, and it is included from the entry package.
